I photographed these chairs in Taiwan, during my residency at Pier-2 Art Center. Chairs were set in front of small workshops and warehouses throughout industrial areas of Kaohsiung. Although designated for worker’s rest, chairs were empty almost all the time.
This photo sequence was published as one of the chapters of A Chord, photo book I made together with Katarina Šoškić, about our experience of dislocation, adapting and intimacy.
